Hello Tigers and Lions,
On the front of your folder is either a yellow, blue or red sticker. Please complete the activity with your grown up that matches the colour on your folder.
Remember to share your reading book or another story every day.
If your child has a phonics folder read daily.
English – In your workbook- All groups: Type into Google ‘Literacy Shed Rooted’ (a short animated film). Watch the clip until 1 min 33 secs. Talk with your grown-up: How did Man Tree and Lady Tree’s friendship develop? Talk about how they became friends. At the end of this part of the clip, why do you think Lady Tree looked sad?
Red and Blue – Write sentences to describe how Man Tree and Lady Tree’s friendship developed. Use adjectives and conjunctions to make your sentences interesting. Why do you think Lady Tree felt sad at the end of this part of the clip? (After she had seen the bench couple).
Yellow – Ask a grown up to help you think of sentences to tell the story of Man Tree and Lady Tree’s friendship. For example ‘Man Tree and Lady Tree became friends.’

Red – Blue – Yellow – While you have been at home, write down what time of day has been the best. Write the time either o’clock, or half past and draw a picture at the side.
Challenge- Using your clock from that you have made, think of a time with a grown up, now tell the time 1 hour before/after that time.
Science – in your workbook –
Think about the minibeasts you found yesterday. What sort of places did you find them in? Why do you think they need to live there? (Think about what food they might eat, what shelter they would have and how they would be protected from danger).
