At Purston Infant school we have plans in place for the provision of remote education where needed. We aim to ensure that our children who need to be educated off school site due to self-isolation/lockdown whilst school is still open, are given the support they need to continue learning and making progress. We will ensure that the remote education we provide will be closely inline with provision in school.
We will use our website during lockdown to provide you with our remote education. This can be found on your child’s class page. For those children who do not have access to the website we will provide paper copies.
We will also use Class Dojo as a communication tool with both adults and children. We may send messages and post daily activities and recorded lessons.
We will use Microsoft Teams and when needed will ensure you have the details you need for your children to log in and attend virtual meetings with their teacher and class.
Teachers may also direct children to material on the Oak National Academy, YouTube, BBC Bitesize, Oxford Owls and other educational resources.
Feedback
Parents should use the class email or Class Dojo to send children’s work back to their teacher so this can be marked and feedback can be given. School may contact parents and children by telephone or email to support their learning and well-being.
