Floppy’s Phonics
We would like you to start your day with some phonics. You can practice your speed sounds every day by following the links on our class pages.
Red group – Today we would like you to look at the letter group ‘tch’ as in hatch. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. pitch, fetch, match. Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words. Can you put one of the words into a sentence?
Blue group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘qu’ as in queen. Ask a grown up to write this list of words, quick, quit, quest. Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words
Yellow group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘i’ as in insect. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. it, sit, tip. With your grown up use your phonic knowledge to read the words and have a go at copying the words.
Remember, say the sound, read the word.
Maths

Now you are going to have a tea party and share the food out equally to your friends. Choose some of your favourite toys to join the party.
If you have 15 biscuits and 3 toys at the party. Share the biscuits out equally to each toy. How many each will you have eat?
If you have 8 cakes and 2 toys at the tea party. How many cakes will you have each?
If you have 6 sandwiches and 6 toys at the party. How many cups will you have each?
You can write you answers in your workbook.

In your workbook, can you work out the subtraction questions? You can use objects/number line to help you.

Sing the song. Use your fingers and count one less each time. What number do you have?
In your workbook, write the numbers 0-5, ask an adult to help you with the formation.
Mindfulness/PSHE
Make some hearts and write messages on them to give to people instead of hugs.
Try doing something different today to what you normally do. If you are right handed then see if you can write or draw with the other hand. What do you notice?
