Floppy’s Phonics
We would like you to start your day with some phonics. You can practice your speed sounds every day by following the links on our class pages.
Red group – Today we would like you to look at the letter group ‘air’ as in hair. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. air, chair, pair, stairs. Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words. Can you put one of the words into a sentence?
Blue group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘x’ as in fox. Can you read the following sentence?
The fox is in a fix as the ox is on his box.
Can you spot today’s sound, ‘x’ as in fox? Write the words from the sentence above with ‘f’ in them. Can you think of any more words with today’s sound?

In the story Albie flies around the rooftops with Scoot. Can you create a Superhero cityscape in the style of Vincent Van Gogh?
First create your background by drawing red, yellow and orange swirls. Then add on black strips of paper to represent the buildings. Finally add yellow and orange squares onto your buildings to look like windows at nighttime.
