Hello Tigers and Lions,
We hope that you enjoyed yesterday’s activities. On the front of your folder is either a yellow, blue or red sticker. Please complete the activity with your grown up that matches the colour on your folder.
Remember to share your reading book or another story every day.
If your child has a phonics folder, please read daily.
English – We are carrying on with the ‘Rooted’ animated film (Literacy Shed). Watch to the end of the film.
Red and Blue – Tell the next part of the story. What was happening to Man Tree and Lady Tree? What noise could they hear? How were they feeling? How did the story end? Try to use exclamation marks and question marks in your writing today, eg ‘Man Tree noticed that Lady Tree was marked with a red cross! Whatever could that mean?’
Yellow – Ask your grown up to help you think of sentences to tell the next part of the story. What happened to Man Tree and Lady Tree? How were they feeling? How did the story end? Remember to use phonics to spell or ask your grown up to help you with more difficult words.
Maths – in your workbook. Mental arithmetic
Red –Blue –Yellow – Use your clock that you made last week. Today you are going to learn quarter to the hour. Place the big hand on number 9, this means quarter to the hour. Place the small towards number 10. This is quarter to ten. Now have a go at finding quarter to 12, 3, 6, 11, 1, 4, 5, 2, 7, 9, 8.
Science – Watch the next clip about plants – ‘Where do plants grow best?’ Then complete the quiz underneath.
