Phonics–
Please can you run through each letter of the alphabet with your child on the link below- encourage them to say the sound for each letter.

Please click on Super Smoothie game. This game looks at alliteration-, which is using and finding words that begin with the same letter sound.
Can you encourage your child to choose and click on a picture and talk about its initial sound. E.g Sun starts with an ‘ssss’ sound. Now they are looking at the screen with the blender can they click on the pictures above and listen to their names, correctly dragging the pictures with the same initial sound as the picture below.
Challenge– Can your child orally segment (say out loud) or write the word of the picture/s they have chosen? Encourage them to sound out each letter in turn- e.g. s-u-n.
PSED and Understanding the world-
Can you look at a photo album or photographs with your child. Can they talk about who is special to them and why?
Can you talk to them about why they are special? Remember to ask them to think of a reason of why they are special.
