Hello Kangaroos and Giraffes,

Phonics

Today we are looking at the letter group ‘ai’, as in aim.

Have a go at reading these sentences:

  • The maid was paid to fix the main sail.
  • The snail left a trail from the pail to the drain.

In your workbooks copy the sentence neatly, then, underline the ‘ai’ words with ‘ai’ in.

Can you think of any more ‘ai’ words? Can you put those into a sentence?

Topic

You find lots of different butterflies in the rainforest, so today we would like you to write some facts about butterflies. Use this website to help you.

https://www.sciencekids.co.nz/sciencefacts/animals/butterfly.html

You could draw some butterflies too around your facts to decorate the page.

Have a lovely day.
