We hope that you enjoyed yesterday’s activities. Our topic this halt term is ‘Superheroes’. Remember to complete the activity that matches the coloured sticker on the front of your work pack.

Floppy’s Phonics
We would like you to start your day with some phonics. You can practice your speed sounds every day by following the links on our class pages.
Red group – Today we would like you to look at the letter group ‘nk’ as in ink. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. sink, thank, blink. Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words. Can you put one of the words into a sentence?
Blue group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘ch’ as in chick. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. chin, chat, much. Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words
Yellow group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘n’ as in net. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. nip, ant, tin. With your grown up use your phonic knowledge to read the words and have a go at copying the words.
Remember, say the sound, read the word.

Can you join in with the superhero song? You could dress up as a superhero and join in with the actions.
Physical
All groups
Can you do some superhero training? Dress up as a Superhero and try these sequences of Motor Moves:
Jump, Spin, Squat, Repeat
Spin left, Spin Right, Twist, Squat and Jump, Wiggle, Crab Walk, Bear Walk then Waddle.
Do some Super Stretches
Reach your right hand to your left foot, repeat on the opposite side, reach your right arm across your body and hold, repeat on your left side.
Reach over head with your arms, tip to the left and hold then tip to the right and hold.
Reach for your toes and hold.
Do some super skills – forward arm circles, backward arm circles, shoulder blade squeezes and knee hugs.
Finally try some super step – Giant steps, gallop, skip and hurdle steps. Can you do 10 of each?
Now you have done your Superhero training go and be a Superhero!
