Good morning Kangaroos and Giraffes,
Phonics
Today we are looking at the letter group ‘ow’ as in owl and ‘ou’ as in mouth.
Have a go at reading these sentences:
- ‘’That owl has a loud hoot.’’ said Chip.
- What shall we do? Shall we go out to town and hang around?
In your workbooks copy the sentence neatly, then, underline the ‘ow’ and ‘ou’ words.
English
Today we would like you to think about our experience days. We had so much fun on these days!
Which was your favourite?
- Cowboy day
- Texas day
- Pet Detective Day
- Sam’s Safari
In your workbook, we would like you to write the name of your favourite experience day, draw a picture and write a few sentences to tell us why you liked it so much.
Remember to use capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. Take care with your handwriting. Keep it on the lines.
Maths
We have looked at coins and notes now. So today we would like you to use some coins to make equal amounts. This is seeing if you understand the value of coins. For example 5p coin is the same as 5 1p coins.
Red and Possums/Blue, Green, Wombats and Koalas –
Can you make equal groups for:
20p
10p
25p
12p
8p
How many different ways can you make these amounts using coins?
Yellow and Crocodiles –
5p
7p
4p
How many different ways can you make these amounts using coins?
Art
Mrs Attwood and Mrs Eades have not been able to go to the shops and buy any new clothes; they have not been able to go to the hairdressers to have their hair done either!
We would love you to design a new outfit and hairstyle for your teacher! We would love to see them! Please be kind too!
