Good morning Kangaroos and Giraffes.
Phonics
Today in phonics, we would like you to make up some alien names, using the letter groups that we have been looking at this week – -cks, er, ure and ture.
Can you write the alien names in your workbook and draw a picture of what the alien might look like?
Can you write a silly sentence about your alien?
English
We would like you to be detectives again!
Steve Irwin, who was an Australian zookeeper and a wildlife expert, discovered a rare species while he was out on one of his adventures.
Red/Possums/Blue/Green/Wombats and Koalas – In your workbooks, we would like you to find out what it was that Steve discovered, draw a picture of it in your workbook and write about it. Where did he discover is and how did he discover it? Remember to use full stops, capital letters and finger spaces.
Yellow and Crocodiles – In your workbooks, we would like you to find out what it was that Steve discovered, draw a picture of it in your workbook, try and use your phonics to label it.
Science
Today we would like you to draw and label a tree in your work book. Label the trunk, roots, branches and leaves.
Have you got ant trees near your house? Can you go and look closely at the different parts. Why not do some bark rubbings of the different trunks?
Have a super weekend. Remember to stay safe. Why not watch a film with the sea in it? Here are a few ideas:
- Finding Nemo
- Shark Tale
- The Little Mermaid
- Moana
- Finding Dory
