Good morning Kangaroos and Giraffes,
We hope you have had a lovely weekend and got lots of rest!
Phonics
Can you think of some words with the letter group ‘ch’, how many can you think of? Can you tell a grown up the words that you know? Can you write some words with ‘ch’ in them?
English
Last week your dragon escaped! We asked you to help to find your dragon by creating a wanted poster.
GOOD NEWS! Your dragon has been found, however the bad news is, the dragon police have put your dragon in the dungeon of a castle.
What do you think a dungeon is? Where would you find one? What does it look like? What does it smell like?
We would like you to draw what you think a dungeon is. Is it dark, smelly, bright, damp, hot, gloomy?
Red and the Possums – Draw the dungeon where you think your dragon has been taken to, and label it using your best handwriting, remembering which are tall letters and which letters have a tail that goes under the line. We would like you to write a sentence to describe the dungeon.
Blue, Green, Wombats and Koalas – Draw the dungeon where you think your dragon has been taken to, and label it using your best handwriting, remembering which are tall letters and which letters have a tail that goes under the line. We would like you to write a sentence to describe the dungeon.
Yellow and Crocodiles – Draw a dungeon and have a go at labelling it with the help of a grown-up.
Challenge time!
Can you find out any information about a real dungeon and email your teacher with what you have found out?
Maths
This week we are going to focus on numbers to 100.
I have added the link to a Jack Hartmann counting video. Join in with the actions and count to 100.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dkPouLWCyc
Then why not show your grown-up how you can count to 100.
Remember to ask your grown-up to email your teacher to tell them about the things that you have been doing at home.
Remember to read to someone today.
We hope you enjoy todays activities,
Love from Mrs Attwood and Mrs Eades.
