Hello Monkeys and Elephants,
We hope that you enjoyed yesterday’s activities. Remember to complete the activity that matches the coloured sticker on the front of your work pack.
Remember to share your reading book or another story every day. You can practise the phonics sheets in your phonic folder. Identifying the sounds and reading the words and sentences.
This half term our topic is Transport, over the next 5 weeks we are going to be providing activities based around the ‘Barefoot Books’ Magic Train Ride.

Literacy
Red – Draw a picture of your favourite jungle animal and label it.
Children in red group can write can write sentences to describe the animal using the labels they have written.
Remember use your phonics to sound out the words you need, use your tricky word tree for words that do not sound out and remember finger spaces.
Blue – Draw a picture of your favourite jungle animal and label it.
Can you write a sentence to describe your animal?
Children in blue group are getting good with their writing but will need some support. Remember use your phonics and listen to the sounds in the words you need and have a really good go with your letter formation.
Yellow – Draw a jungle animal and tell your grown up what it looks like. Can you copy some words to describe it?
Children in yellow group will need you to write the sentences so they can copy the writing.
Maths – Red – draw around your hands and cut them out. Use them to help you write all of the number bonds to 10. Can you write the number sentences?
Blue – Draw jungle animals and add them together. How many have you got? How many number sentences can you make?
Yellow – Can you count the animals and find out how many altogether?
Ask your grown up to make up some more for you to work out.
