Friday 3rd April 2020
Hello Lions,
We hope that you enjoyed yesterday’s activities. On the front of your folder is either a yellow, blue or red sticker. Please complete the activity with your grown up that matches the colour on your folder.
Remember to share your reading book or another story every day.
If your child has a phonics folder read daily.
English – In your workbook-
Red – use books/internet to find out what happened to Jesus after Palm Sunday. How did things change for Him? What happened on Good Friday and Easter Sunday? In your own words, write sentences to tell the story. Think about using conjunctions, adjectives and adverbs. Can you add any speech into your story?
Blue – use books/internet to find out what happened to Jesus on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. In your own words, write sentences to tell the story. Think about using conjunctions, adjectives and adverbs.

We now have a class email address for you and your grown-ups to send us pictures of work you have been doing. You could email us a letter or send a photograph of you doing your home learning challenges too. We are missing seeing you at school and look forward to seeing what you have been doing.
We are not sending any more worksheets home for children to do other than what was in their home learning pack. Please use this email if you have any questions about the home learning we have set on the school website. You may not get an immediate response as teachers are still working in school and at home. Any other queries must go to the head teacher email. Thank you.
Our class email is lionsclass@purston.wakefield.sch.uk
Head teacher email is headteacher@purston.wakefield.sch.uk
As we would have been finishing for the Easter holidays, today we will not be setting daily home learning challenges for the next two weeks. On Monday 6th April and Monday 13th April, we will set some challenges that you could do over the school holidays. Our daily home learning challenges will begin on 20th April unless school is back fully open. Thank you for your support and encouraging your children to learn at home during these uncertain times.
Take care and stay safe from Mrs Inhester
